INXS Concert at Louisville Palace

What a night! Four lovely ladies (Mrs. Lauren Ogden, Mrs. Tess McNair, Mrs. Rachel Kudmani, and Mrs. Kelly Fleenor) attended the INXS concert at the Louisville Palace Theater last night, the perfect spot for a concert, to relive our glorious high school days (sans Catholic school uniforms of course). I must admit my lack of confidence that the sexy Mr. JD Fortune (or anyone for that matter) could possibly replace the equally sexy Mr. Michael Hutchence – may he rest in peace.

Well, that JD really knows how to flaunt his sex appeal as Lauren, Tess, Rachel, and myself screamed at the top of our lungs (reason I cannot speak today) for hours begging for more butt shaking and sneak peaks of his belly button through strategically unsnapped buttons nearly sending me into a tiszy. And did he ever give us more! The up and down “grinding” movement against the drum stage (maybe he was doing push-ups) sent our blood pressures a-rising (and me wishing I was that stage) creating unladylike sweat to appear and ushers on hand to dial 911 if necessary.

Oh yes, the all-to sexy Mr. Fortune can croon as well. I tell you, we had such a fantastic time with our new best friends of INXS.

As for the lovely Louisvillians on hand (God bless) – a sea of white men dancing (not) the white-man’s overbite (front teeth over bottom lip, I know you’ve seen it), a (bad) Paris Hilton look-a-like sporting a fake pink Coach bag, a dorky INXS fan club member imitating Billy Idol’s Rebel Yell moves right there center stage giving JD a good laugh, and two older ladies in front of us unsuccessfully imitating the backup singers (my new dream job) as well as dancing the 60’s swim moves – pinching their noses as if going under water and the arm strokes. What in the world were they thinking? Cool and cute they were not. They were amusing and lead me to believe we were definitely the coolest (next to the band) in attendance as we stylishly showed everyone proper rhythm.

Kelly’s Critique: rush, rush, rush and purchase a copy of INXS’ new Switch album – you will not be disappointed.

P.S. Tess and I did purchase the all-too-geeky concert t-shirts that I look forward to sporting this weekend! It is a comforting feeling to know that I will never really grow up!

Happy Listening Y'all...
